About The Position

The Pre-Sell Salesman achieves sales goals and distribution targets by servicing and developing assigned accounts. This role involves selling all products in accordance with company guidelines and TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission), supervising and managing a team composed of drivers, assistant drivers, and merchandisers to ensure customer satisfaction after sale of product, and scheduling routes to ensure all customers are visited regularly. The position requires identifying customer needs, keeping customer priorities in mind, and implementing effective solutions that help customers sell more product. It also involves developing and maintaining an effective rapport characterized by open communication and trust with all assigned customers, continuously increasing product knowledge to become an expert resource for customers, and applying the concept of “the salesman you leave behind” to sell more product in each account. The role includes effectively merchandising in all accounts by effective use of displays and point-of-sale (POS) items, maintaining adequate inventory and reducing or eliminating out-of-stocks at each customer account, entering order information accurately and timely into the handheld sales enablement software, monitoring freshness of product at each account and ensuring rotation or removal to meet company standards, and auditing the condition of all POS to ensure brand representation meets company standards. Employees will also be responsible for completing training, seminars and classes as assigned, and completing and submitting sales, incentive and other required reports accurately and on time. In this position, employees will drive several hours per shift and may have to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • At least one year of sales experience.
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of all brands and packages for sale.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
