About The Position

The Pre-Sell Salesman achieves sales goals and distribution targets by servicing and developing assigned accounts. This role involves selling all products in accordance with company guidelines and TABC, supervising a team of drivers, assistant drivers, and merchandisers, and ensuring customer satisfaction after the sale of product. The position requires scheduling routes, identifying customer needs, and implementing effective solutions to help customers sell more product. Building and maintaining strong customer rapport through open communication and trust is essential. The role also demands continuous product knowledge enhancement, effective merchandising, maintaining adequate inventory, accurate order entry, monitoring product freshness, auditing POS condition, completing assigned training, and submitting required reports accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • At least one year of sales experience.
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of all brands and packages for sale.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer.

Responsibilities

  • Sells all products in accordance with company guidelines and TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission).
  • Supervises and manages a team composed of drivers, assistant drivers, and merchandisers to ensure customer satisfaction after sale of product.
  • Schedules routes to ensure all customers are visited regularly.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by identifying needs, keeping customer priorities in mind and implementing effective solutions that help customers sell more product.
  • Develops and maintains an effective rapport characterized by open communication and trust with all assigned customers.
  • Continuously increases product knowledge to become an expert resource for customers.
  • Applies the concept of “the salesman you leave behind” to sell more product in each account.
  • Effectively merchandises in all accounts by effective use of displays and point-of-sale (POS) items.
  • Maintains adequate inventory and reduces or eliminates out-of-stocks at each customer account.
  • Enters order information accurately and timely into the handheld sales enablement software.
  • Monitors freshness of product at each account and ensures rotation or removal to meet company standards.
  • Audits condition of all POS to ensure brand representation meets company standards.
  • Completes training, seminars and classes as assigned.
  • Completes and submits sales, incentive and other required reports accurately and on time.
