About The Position

The Pre-Press Operator creates film and screens for Kammann screen printers. The role uses Adobe Illustrator and screen room equipment to prepare quality screens, while maintaining screen room supplies, equipment, and organization.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator or in a related position.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain the latest files from the Production Supervisor and use Adobe Illustrator to make screen film.
• Use screen room equipment to image quality screens for the screen printers.
• Reclaim used screens, and stretch and prepare new screens for imaging.
• Keep the screen room clean and organized daily.
• Maintain an inventory of screen room supplies and inks, and order supplies when necessary.
• Keep the required number of finished screens ready for the screen printer.
• Maintain screen room equipment and notify appropriate individuals when a machine needs repair or maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
