About The Position

The Pre-Press Operator creates film and screens for Kammann screen printers. The role uses Adobe Illustrator and screen-room equipment to prepare quality screens, while maintaining screen-room supplies, equipment, and organization.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge.
• At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator or in a related position.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain the latest files from the Production Supervisor and use Adobe Illustrator to create screen film.
• Use screen-room equipment to image quality screens for the screen printers.
• Reclaim used screens.
• Stretch and prepare new screens for imaging.
• Keep the screen room clean and organized daily.
• Maintain an inventory of screen-room supplies and inks, and order supplies when necessary.
• Keep the required number of finished screens ready for the screen printer.
• Maintain screen-room equipment and notify appropriate individuals when equipment needs repair or maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
