About The Position

Assist with field operations under the guidance of experienced field professionals. This role provides hands-on experience and technical training in preparation for a formal apprenticeship or advanced field positions. The Pre-Apprentice supports field projects while learning industry-specific skills and safety protocols. The position is normally performed at a jobsite and exposes the employee to outdoor elements. The work environment is usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection may be required under certain conditions. The schedule may be flexible and may involve periodic overtime and overnight travel as needed. Other duties and working conditions may be subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must withstand outdoor temperatures and elements.
Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record.
Ability to perform moderate physical work, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and constantly lifting up to 20 pounds; bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting; and some repetitive hand, wrist, and elbow motions.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience or education in construction or another technical field.

Participate in online and in-person training and other educational opportunities.
Be reliable and accountable for reporting to work as required.
