About The Position

The Pre-Apprentice assists with field operations under the guidance of experienced field professionals. The role provides hands-on experience and technical training to prepare for a formal apprenticeship or more advanced positions in the field. The Pre-Apprentice supports field projects while learning industry-specific skills and safety protocols. Work is normally performed at a jobsite and exposes the employee to outdoor elements. Noise is usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection may be required in certain conditions. The position may require a flexible schedule, periodic overtime, and overnight travel as needed. Other duties and working conditions may be subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record.
Ability to withstand outdoor temperatures and elements.
Ability to perform moderate physical work, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and constant lifting up to 20 pounds; bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.
Ability to perform some repetitive hand, wrist, and elbow motions.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience or education in construction or another technical field.

Run tools and materials.
Comply with federal and state laws and regulations and all Company rules.
Participate in online and in-person training and other educational opportunities.
Be reliable and accountable for reporting to work as required.
Perform other job-related activities requested by the immediate supervisor.
