About The Position

Assist with field operations under the guidance of experienced field professionals. The role provides hands-on experience and technical training to prepare for a formal apprenticeship or advanced positions in the field. The Pre-Apprentice supports field projects while learning industry-specific skills and safety protocols. Work is normally performed at a jobsite and may expose the employee to outdoor elements. Noise levels are usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection may be required under certain conditions. The position may require a flexible schedule, periodic overtime, and overnight travel as needed. Other duties and conditions may be subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record.
Ability to withstand outdoor temperatures and elements.
Ability to perform moderate physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds constantly.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp for up to five hours without sitting.
Ability to perform some repetitive motions of the hands, wrists, and elbows.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience or education in construction or another technical field.

Participate in online and in-person training and other educational opportunities.
Be reliable and accountable for reporting to work as required.
Perform other job-related activities requested by the immediate supervisor.
