About The Position
Nursing care of childbearing families in different settings such as hospitals, public health, community-based agencies, home or simulation environments. Number of students per group can vary from 6 to 8.
Requirements
- An acceptable level of education/experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- B.Sc.N. with recent experience in obstetrics.
- Current registration as RN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Certain clinical partners require work experience on their units in order to work as a Clinical Instructor.
- As a condition of employment at UOttawa, the chosen candidate must be in good standing with the site where clinical teaching is to occur.
- Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing learning contracts.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution, oral/written communication skills.
- Previous experience as a clinical instructor preferred.
