About The Position

S&ME is seeking an experienced, growth-minded Practice Leader to grow and expand its Electrical Transmission & Distribution practice across the organization. The role is part of S&ME’s Energy Market, which uses environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections to support utility and private clients. The position has a flexible location within S&ME’s footprint and is a full-time role with competitive pay based on experience. The Practice Leader will develop and execute a strategic growth plan, pursue new business, and build strong local and national client relationships in the Electrical Transmission & Distribution market. Working with internal leaders and local operations, the leader will develop the teams, resources, and capabilities needed to scale the practice. The role also includes mentoring multidisciplinary teams, supporting high-quality project delivery, and promoting safety, client satisfaction, innovation, and continuous improvement. Requirements

Proven success driving revenue growth for geotechnical, environmental, civil, construction materials testing, or special inspection services within Electrical Transmission & Distribution or similar markets.
Strong network and client relationships in the Power & Utilities sector.
At least 10 years of progressive experience in project/program or market leadership roles.
Proven track record of winning and delivering opportunities for multiple clients in the Electrical Transmission & Distribution market.
Valid employment eligibility (I-9).
Compliance with S&ME’s Fleet Management, Substance Policy, and Reference Check requirements.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the Electrical Transmission & Distribution market.
Identify and pursue business opportunities to achieve and exceed revenue targets for environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections.
Establish and grow key local and national client relationships in the market.
Collaborate with local operations and expand existing client relationships.
