About The Position

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has multiple openings for graduate students in its Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Summer Institute (CSI). Interns will support projects related to power systems resilience and security aligned with LLNL’s national security missions, including energy infrastructure modernization and resilience, critical infrastructure security, and defense critical infrastructure. The program runs during summer 2027, with start dates from May 17 through June 21, 2027, and flexible end dates through September 24, 2027. The program also offers professional and technical development activities with laboratory subject matter experts, networking with interns and lab employees, and opportunities to learn about LLNL’s support for U.S. national security. Interns conduct research under limited direction and supervision, provide technical support to research and development projects, attend at least one on-site seminar or training class per week, and present their work through presentations and/or poster sessions.
