About The Position

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has multiple openings for graduate students in the Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Summer Institute (CSI). Interns will work on cybersecurity topics aligned with LLNL’s national security missions, including developing and implementing tools and capabilities to mitigate advanced threats and supporting cybersecurity for civilian and defense critical infrastructure. The 2027 program runs during the summer, with start dates ranging from May 17, 2027, through June 21, 2027, and flexible end dates through September 24, 2027. Interns will apply their skills to research and technical projects alongside scientists, engineers, and technical staff. The program also offers professional and technical development activities with Laboratory subject matter experts, opportunities to network with interns and LLNL employees, and an introduction to LLNL’s national security work. Interns attend at least one relevant on-site seminar or training class per week and present their work through presentations and/or poster sessions.
