Power & HVAC Field Service Technician

About The Position
As a Power HVAC Field Service Technician in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC division, you will perform equipment maintenance and minor repairs safely and professionally. The role includes maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification and air purification equipment. You will also provide customer service, demonstrate equipment, and support equipment loading and unloading. The position offers opportunities to develop toward higher-level Technician roles in the Service Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient knowledge of repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of tools applicable to the position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to travel within the US and Canada for up to two weeks at a time, for up to six total months in a year.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs, maintenance checks, and cleaning of equipment.
- Report equipment condition before and after usage.
- Demonstrate equipment for customers.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
