About The Position
As a Power HVAC Field Service Technician in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC division, you will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment safely and professionally. The role is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification and air purification equipment. You will also provide customer service and may work toward higher-level technician roles in the Service Department. The position is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient knowledge of repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of tools applicable to the position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to travel within the US and Canada for up to two weeks at a time, and up to six total months in a year.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs, maintenance checks, and cleaning of equipment.
- Report equipment condition before and after usage.
- Demonstrate equipment for customers.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
