About The Position

RESPEC is seeking a full-time Power BI Developer to turn student loan data into reliable dashboards and reports for decision-makers at the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE). The role’s main goal is to establish a stable, reliable Power BI Service environment. The developer will query and validate loan data from multiple sources, build custom visualizations, and migrate legacy Tableau and Crystal Reports to Power BI. The position also involves training State staff and working closely with business and technical teams. There is no incumbent, so the developer will help shape how the environment is built. The role includes designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, configuring Power BI in the Power Platform environment, establishing security, accessibility, and access-management controls, and ensuring reports meet performance and client requirements. The developer will gather and document business requirements and rules, lead technical meetings, prepare technical manuals, deliver training and mentoring, provide daily project status reports, and complete a thorough knowledge transfer before the engagement ends. The position is remote.
