About The Position

The Amivero Team delivers digital services for the federal government using a human-centered, data-driven approach and modern, agile methods. As a member of the team, you will help modernize mission-critical public service IT systems. The API Platform Operations and Automation Engineer is a mid-level role supporting reliable platform operations and continuous improvement. The position combines hands-on platform operations with technical support for API consumers and producers. It involves troubleshooting REST API and platform issues, supporting deployments and routine maintenance, and improving infrastructure-as-code, configuration-management, and containerized deployment capabilities. The engineer identifies recurring customer-support and operational needs and translates them into practical improvements, such as documentation, process changes, scripts, lightweight automations, or platform enhancements. The role works closely with Infrastructure, Customer Success and Support, User Experience Research, team leadership, and government partners. It is not primarily an evangelist or front-line customer-service role, but requires clear communication of technical findings and participation in customer-support activities when needed. US citizenship is required to obtain Public Trust; DHS USCIS Public Trust is preferred.
