About The Position

The Pouch Room Operator is responsible for operating multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently while performing quality control audits of SFG pouches. This role involves ensuring the machines are running optimally, making necessary adjustments, and maintaining quality standards. The operator will also be responsible for documentation, housekeeping, and compliance with company policies and QRMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Starts up, operates, and shuts down pouch forming, cooling, sealing, straw strip placement, coding, and conveying systems of the pouch machine.
  • Makes packaging roll changes as needed.
  • Optimizes equipment uptime; monitors mechanical operation of equipment and unjams machines.
  • Helps troubleshoot mechanical problems and notifies technician of issues.
  • Supervises quality issues, performs and records checks on pouch visual points of quality.
  • Performs and records checks on seal alignment.
  • Ensures adequate quantities of accurate rotated foil stock (FIFO) are available and tested.
  • Completes all required audits.
  • Documents pouches material losses, downtime, and production totals; palletizes finished boxes of pouches.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and ensures the "Area of Responsibility" is clean and orderly.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures completion of all DMS forms (e.g., CIL, CLM, 5S, Defect handling, Shift hand-offs, Oscar boards, etc.).
  • Maintains room as a tour ready status.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains accountability for QRMP standards.
