About The Position

Operates Pouch 1 & 2 and produces bubble pouches. Responsible to set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes. Ensures first offs are completed as per technical specifications and changeovers are completed as per standard. Establishes, follows, and improves equipment and set-up parameters. Coaches and mentors assistants and helpers by providing clear and precise instructions, if assigned. Ensures materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups. Ensures product is packed and identified as per specifications. Ensures accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies. Minimizes work-center downtime by ensuring proper equipment set-ups, material availability prior to changeover, and reporting raw material, tooling, or equipment issues to appropriate personnel. Oversees assistants, helpers/packers, and provides clear and precise instructions to them. Performs all duties outlined in the assistant job description. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment / machine operator experience preferred.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • English written communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
  • Ability to work in space-limited work area on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
  • General computer knowledge.
  • Experience handling paperwork.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention.
