The Pouch Room Operator is responsible for operating multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently while performing quality control audits of SFG pouches. This role involves starting up, operating, and shutting down various systems of the pouch machine, including forming, cooling, sealing, straw strip placement, coding, and conveying. The operator will also manage packaging roll changes, optimize equipment uptime, monitor mechanical operations, and assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems. A key aspect of the role is supervising quality issues, performing and recording checks on pouch visual points of quality and seal alignment, and ensuring adequate quantities of accurate rotated foil stock are available and tested. The position requires completing all required audits, documenting material losses, downtime, and production totals, and palletizing finished boxes of pouches. Maintaining good housekeeping and ensuring the "Area of Responsibility" is clean and orderly are also essential. The operator must ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, complete all required DMS forms, and maintain the room in a tour-ready status. This position also holds accountability for QRMP standards.
