Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Postdoctoral Researcher Role Overview Projects will focus on developing CAR T cell therapies for brain tumors and minimizing central nervous system (CNS) toxicities from cell therapies. We will use pre-clinical models and clinical samples to study CAR T cell trafficking biology and harness it for therapeutic use. Techniques that will be employed include in vivo CRISPR screening, single cell multi-omics on research and clinical samples, flow cytometry, and extensive T cell engineering. We seek to establish cell therapy platforms with enhanced potency while maintaining safety through locoregional restriction. Interesting detail about the specific lab/ dept position Our research spans the scientific spectrum from basic studies in animal models, to translational and correlative work with patient samples, to development of new cell therapy products. This position is therefore a unique opportunity to take a concept from initial conception to drug development. The laboratory thus seeks to develop a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of students, postdocs and research technicians. and computational genomics, you will contribute to groundbreaking research that can revolutionize patient outcomes globally. Requirements
- A Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in with background in immunology, neuroscience or neuro-oncology, cell therapy, gene editing, and/or synthetic biology.
- Collaborative skills and the ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work with animal models
- Ability to perform self-directed and guided research
