About The Position

The Center for Research Frontiers in the Digital Humanities (CRFDH) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a Post-doctoral Researcher to join their team. This position is a .49 FTE role with an annual salary of $24,500, compensation commensurate with experience. The position is not eligible for employer-sponsored health insurance but is eligible for paid sick leave. This role is exempt from FLSA overtime provisions and is dependent on external grant funding, currently expected until August 31, 2028.

Requirements

• PhD in Native American Studies, Anthropology, Linguistics or similar field
• Experience working with American Indigenous communities
• Experience transcribing and translating audio data
• Experience analyzing language-based video, audio and textual data
• Experience writing reports and journal articles
• Experience with indigenous data sovereignty

Nice To Haves

• In-depth knowledge of polysynthetic languages
• In-depth knowledge of Northwest Native American cultures
