The Ricardo Otazo Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow or research associate, depending on prior experience, to develop motion-tolerant pediatric MRI with reduced anesthesia. The work uses non-Cartesian acquisition and deep-learning auto-navigation and reconstruction, with innovations in image acquisition and reconstruction applied to clinical cases. The selected candidate will develop next-generation motion-tolerant techniques for pediatric imaging in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment involving physicists, engineers, computer scientists, and clinicians. The work is situated within MSK’s Departments of Medical Physics and Radiology, with collaboration also described with Radiation Oncology. The candidate will have access to advanced imaging and computing resources and opportunities to share research outcomes through conferences and publications. The MRI Physics group conducts research at clinical MRI scanners, including 1.5T and 3T GE scanners, and has five high-performance computer servers with multiple GPUs for image reconstruction and deep learning. Salary is commensurate with experience and New York City cost of living; the stated salary range is $72,000–$94,000. Subsidized housing close to the MSK campus may be available.
