About The Position

Sun Harvest Citrus is hiring a full-time, year-round Postal Counter Clerk in Fort Myers, Florida. This in-person role serves as a friendly point of contact for guests shipping packages and may also provide assistance in the retail area when the counter is quiet. The schedule falls within Postal Counter operating hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including some Saturdays.

Requirements

• Retail customer service and sales experience is preferred; two years is ideal.
• Point of Sale and basic computer experience.
• Tact and a friendly, patient manner with guests in person and over the phone.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a seasonally busy environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A commitment to providing excellent guest service.

Nice To Haves

• Retail customer service and sales experience, ideally two years.
• A naturally joyful attitude and pride in Florida roots, with the ability to tell the story behind the products.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and provide the Sun Harvest Citrus experience at the Postal Counter.
• Learn the company’s products and services and share them with guests.
• Learn postal rules and regulations and explain them clearly to guests.
• Record sales accurately in the Point of Sale system.
• Advise guests on packing items for shipping using established procedures and products.
• Receive and process packages, including lifting and weighing them and using shipment software to generate labels.
• Assist in the retail area as needed.
