About The Position

The Singla Lab at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando seeks a highly motivated, creative, and ambitious postdoctoral fellow to study treatment resistance and tumor-microenvironment interactions in various cancer models and associated toxicological studies. This part of the project focuses on developing cancer models; therefore, we are looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will conduct innovative cancer research using functional studies with 3D culture models and organoids. Identify the underlying mechanisms using cell biology and molecular biology techniques. They will also be expected to perform research, write manuscripts, assist in grant proposals, and present their findings at local and national meetings. The fellow should work independently, lead project(s), troubleshoot issues, present their work, and train other lab members as part of their postdoctoral training. Requirements

• Ph.D. in cancer biology/immunology/molecular biology.
• Strong background in cancer cell culture models (2D, 3D, and organoids).
• Strong background in cancer mouse models such as xenotransplantation models.
• Strong background in basic and advanced molecular biology techniques.
• Track record of scientific productivity.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Authorized to work for any U.S. employer.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in testing preclinical animal models, including PDX using humanized mice, syngeneic mouse models, and xenografts.
