About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance teacher of Brazilian Portuguese for a one-to-one general course with a beginner student in New York, NY. The student wants to communicate with her Brazilian husband’s family. The course consists of 10 total hours, with two-hour sessions once per week. The preferred schedule is Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 6 PM onward, or weekend mornings. The preferred start date is as soon as possible. Schedule and location may be flexible depending on availability. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Be a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Have a valid work permit or visa.
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location.
