About The Position
The Porter is a key member of the store team responsible for maintaining buildings and facilities in a clean, sanitary condition in accordance with TravelCenters of America standards. The role helps provide customers with a pleasant environment and a clean, sanitary experience. The employee works in a customer-service-focused environment and may be assigned other job-related duties.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Works well with others and is enthusiastic about being part of the team.
Responsibilities
- Clean all areas of the facility as directed and provide guests with a clean, sanitary environment.
- Follow safety and security guidelines and procedures.
- Remain alert to potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or guests, report them, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Wear and use protective equipment properly and safely.
- Know the quantities and types of cleaning supplies used for each cleaning assignment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
