About The Position

The Porter cleans and maintains administrative offices, the warehouse, and other designated areas in accordance with company and government guidelines. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing warehouse areas and handling product spills, with safety as the top priority. The position offers two listed schedules: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., or Sunday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.

Requirements

At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Good verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment, such as a floor scrubber and baler.
Frequent periods of sitting and walking; occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish; not required.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots.
Tape open cases and remove damaged cases.
Clean spills involving damaged product, oil, grease, broken glass, and other materials; use supplies such as sawdust, brooms, mops, or shovels as needed.
Use hazardous cleaning supplies to clean oil and fuel spills.
Clean slots with cleaning supplies.
Occasionally move product out of slots with a pallet jack and clean behind it using appropriate supplies and a scrubber.
Clean break areas and offices when necessary.
Collect and bale plastic wrap throughout the shift.
Clean bathrooms.
Collect shredded paper, empty boxes, and empty trash cans.
Clean fire extinguishers and windows.
Ensure lights are turned off and doors are locked when appropriate.
Pick up loose cased product and return it to the pick slot or returns area.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
