About The Position

Le Pain Quotidien is hiring a Porter to support restaurant operations and maintain clean, organized kitchen and restaurant areas. The role includes operating the dish machine, washing and storing kitchenware, keeping cleaning supplies and chemicals properly stocked and stored, putting away deliveries, maintaining refrigerators and freezers, and ensuring the bakery and kitchen have clean smallwares, equipment, and tools. The Porter also assists with basic food preparation and completes opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, checklists, and side work assignments.

The position is part of a hospitality-focused team at Le Pain Quotidien, a Convive Brands restaurant concept. The company describes opportunities to develop skills and grow across its portfolio of restaurant concepts. Hourly pay is $18.42–$23.00, plus tips when eligible.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language or languages of the work location.

Nice To Haves

• Three to six months of related restaurant experience or training is preferred.
• Schedule flexibility is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load, operate, and unload the dish machine safely and efficiently.
• Keep the dish machine and sinks clean, and report functional or mechanical problems.
• Wash and store kitchenware, baskets, and crates.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Properly label, replenish, and store chemicals.
• Put away deliveries or orders as assigned.
• Keep refrigerators and freezers clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean smallwares, equipment, and tools in the bakery and kitchen.
• Assist with basic food preparation according to checklists and prep sheets.
• Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, daily checklists, and side work assignments.
• Keep all restaurant areas clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.
