About The Position

Le Pain Quotidien is seeking a Porter to support restaurant operations and maintain clean, organized kitchen and restaurant areas. The role includes operating the dish machine, washing and storing kitchenware, maintaining cleaning supplies and chemicals, organizing refrigerators and freezers, assisting with basic food preparation, and completing assigned opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures. Team members work in a hospitality-focused environment centered on warmth, community, and connection, with opportunities to develop skills and grow across Convive Brands’ restaurant concepts.

Requirements

Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language or languages of the work location.

Nice To Haves

Three to six months of related restaurant experience or training is preferred.
Schedule flexibility is highly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Load, operate, and unload the dish machine safely and efficiently.
Keep the dish machine and sinks clean and report functional or mechanical problems.
Wash and store kitchenware, baskets, and crates.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Properly label, replenish, and store chemicals.
Put away deliveries or orders as assigned.
Ensure refrigerators and freezers are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Maintain adequate levels of clean small wares, equipment, and tools in the bakery and kitchen.
Assist with basic food preparation according to checklists and prep sheets.
Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, including daily checklists and side work assignments.
Keep all restaurant areas clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.
