About The Position
Le Pain Quotidien is hiring a Porter to support restaurant operations and maintain clean, organized kitchen and restaurant areas. The role includes operating the dish machine, washing and storing kitchenware, maintaining cleaning supplies and chemicals, organizing refrigerators and freezers, putting away deliveries, and assisting with basic food preparation. Porters complete opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, daily checklists, and assigned side work. The position is part of a hospitality-focused team at Le Pain Quotidien, within Convive Brands, with opportunities to develop skills and grow across its restaurant concepts.
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language or languages of the work location.
Nice To Haves
- Three to six months of related restaurant experience or training.
- Flexibility in schedule.
Responsibilities
- Load, operate, and unload the dish machine safely and efficiently.
- Keep the dish machine and sinks clean and report functional or mechanical problems.
- Wash and store kitchenware, baskets, and crates.
- Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
- Properly label, replenish, and store chemicals.
- Put away deliveries or orders as assigned.
- Keep refrigerators and freezers clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Maintain adequate levels of clean small wares, equipment, and tools in the bakery and kitchen.
- Assist with basic food preparation according to checklists and prep sheets.
- Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, daily checklists, and side work assignments.
- Keep all restaurant areas clean and organized by following the cleaning checklist.
