About The Position

A Porter is responsible for cleaning work areas, floors, walls, equipment, and areas in and around the dish room, coolers, utility area, locker rooms and restrooms, office space, and transportation areas inside and outside the facility. The role supports sanitation in compliance with sanitation standards and corporate requirements, follows directions, and works as part of a team. Additional duties may be assigned by management. The position requires working an assigned schedule that may vary and include weekends and holidays, and working overtime when required. The Porter must arrive on time, comply with company policies, complete required paperwork, and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Work involves handling food products, exposure to temperature changes and noise, and use of chemicals and industrial cleaning materials. The role also requires frequent movement of products, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, along with standing, bending, lifting, and intermittent movement during shifts of eight or more hours. Requirements

Must work with chemicals and industrial cleaning materials and tolerate exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform other cleaning tasks as required.
Empty trash within the building.
Maintain sanitation in compliance with sanitation standards and corporate requirements.
Follow directions and work as a member of a team.
Complete paperwork and related administrative duties.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
