Porter- Grounds Keeper
About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Porter-Grounds Keeper who enjoys being on the move, working independently, and takes pride in keeping things clean and organized. The role involves spending days outside, rain or shine, performing various maintenance tasks for commercial/retail shopping centers. Carolina Sweepers provides training for a long-term career with opportunities for advancement. Requirements
- Active driver license
- Clean driving record
- Self-starter with the work ethic necessary to operate on their own for most of the day
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Experience in landscaping, general labor, or janitorial work
- Janitorial and cleaning experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Picking up litter
- Wiping/cleaning surfaces such as windowsills, trash can lids, benches, etc.
- Changing trash bags in outdoor trash cans
- Cleaning out dumpster enclosures, breaking down boxes, lifting/moving heavy pallets, furniture, etc.
- Other building maintenance work as needed
- Driving a company pickup truck to and from jobsites
- May also be required to do some work on ladders/roofs or near retention ponds
