About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining all of Airlie's grounds under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor and Chief Engineer. The position involves operating various groundskeeping equipment, assisting with building maintenance, and supporting guest services. The role also includes essential tasks like snow removal and fireplace preparation.

Requirements

Experience on commercial equipment such as zero turn mowers and other power equipment for grounds work and building cleanup.
Ability to work weekends and nights if required due to weather conditions.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Maintain all of Airlie's grounds following direction from the Grounds Supervisor and Chief Engineer.
Operate zero turn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, blowers, and hand tools.
Assist with moving furniture, demolition, and other building and grounds requests.
Perform daily cleanup of debris, trash, and limbs around the property.
Repair grounds and reseed as needed.
Mow grounds weekly using commercial zero turn mowers.
Perform weed eating, trimming, and brush removal.
Clean walkways and decks daily using leaf blowers and brooms, removing grass and debris.
Perform leaf cleanup.
Cut up trees and limbs using chainsaws, wood splitting machines, and hand malls.
Haul and stack wood in storage areas and distribute to buildings for fireplaces.
Assist with building maintenance, including digging trenches for pipe and wiring.
Assist with moving furniture during remodels.
Provide luggage service for guest services.
Perform snow removal from walkways and roads, including sanding and de-icing.
Set and light fireplaces in meeting rooms.
