Porter- Grounds Keeper
About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Grounds Labor Technician who enjoys being on the move, working independently, and takes pride in keeping things clean and organized. Carolina Sweepers is ready to train individuals for a long-term career. The company has provided maintenance services for over 20 years to commercial properties. The properties are mostly commercial/retail shopping centers. The role involves working outside, rain or shine, picking up litter, wiping/cleaning surfaces, changing trash bags, cleaning dumpster enclosures, breaking down boxes, and lifting/moving heavy items. Other building maintenance work may be required. The technician will drive a company pickup truck to and from jobsites and may be required to work on ladders/roofs or near retention ponds, and perform sign repair.
Requirements
- Active driver license
- Clean driving record
- Self-starter with the work ethic necessary to operate on their own for most of the day
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Experience in landscaping, general labor, or janitorial work
- Janitorial, and cleaning experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Picking up litter
- Wiping/cleaning surfaces such as windowsills, trash can lid’s, benches, etc.
- Changing trash bags in outdoor trash cans
- Cleaning out dumpster enclosures, breaking down boxes, lifting/moving heavy pallets, furniture, etc.
- Other building maintenance work as needed
