About The Position

The Porter/Concierge will be responsible, under the direction of the Super, for the maintenance and protection and privacy of the building and its occupants.

Requirements

• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
• Willing to take on concierge duties a few days a week

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of common areas and vacant apartments
• Collecting and sorting trash
• Responsible for the upkeep of building exteriors and amenities
• Ensure property looks neat and presentable
• Minor handy work may include changing light bulbs, replacing blinds and small paint touch-up jobs.
• Greet residents and visitors
• Responsible for identification/verification of all visitors and residents
• Provide security services such as monitoring the premises, responding to emergencies, conducting patrols
• Communicating with residents to address concerns or complaints about the building or community
