About The Position

The Portables Basketball Flooring Associate restores and replaces portable basketball courts at Praters, Inc.’s onsite facility in Rossville, Georgia. Work includes sanding, painting floor graphics, applying floor finish, and performing routine maintenance. The role requires working independently and as part of a team, following safe and quality-focused procedures, maintaining a clean worksite, and occasionally traveling overnight. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with required overtime and some weekend work. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, with a $250 sign-on bonus and eligibility for a pay increase up to $20.00 per hour following a 90-day evaluation.

Requirements

• Read a tape measure or ruler competently.
• Ability to learn basic carpentry skills.
• Good work ethic and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Ability to stand and bend for long periods.
• Ability to organize effectively and efficiently, work well on a team, and work independently.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and TBI fingerprinting for schools.
• Ability to obtain a medical DOT card.
• Ability to lift and carry materials and participate in team lifts up to 200 pounds with four employees.

Responsibilities

• Restore and replace portable basketball courts, including sanding, painting floor graphics, applying floor finish, and routine maintenance.
• Work without constant or direct supervision.
• Lift, bend, and carry equipment and materials, including portable panels and other heavy objects; team lift up to 200 pounds with four employees.
• Learn to operate construction equipment and tools and perform minor job-site maintenance on them.
• Follow procedures to deliver quality work safely and maintain job-site cleanliness.
• Read a tape measure and make calculations for woodcuts and related work.
• Work overtime and some weekends, and travel overnight occasionally.
• Represent Praters, Inc. professionally and follow company missions, goals, policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
