About The Position

Praters Inc. is hiring a full-time Basketball Flooring Associate for a travel position restoring and replacing basketball courts. Work includes sanding floors, painting court graphics, applying floor finishes, and performing routine maintenance. The position involves travel throughout Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky, serving school districts to the same quality standards Praters provides to NBA, NCAA, Olympic, and other high-end clients. A typical workweek involves leaving the Rossville, Georgia warehouse on Monday morning and returning Friday afternoon. Associates must report to the warehouse at the beginning and end of each travel assignment. Praters provides travel expenses, per-diem/travel pay, hotel accommodations, and reliable transportation while traveling. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with willingness to work overtime and some weekends required. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, a $60 daily meal per-diem allowance, and a $250 sign-on bonus. Employees may be eligible for a pay increase up to $20.00 per hour following a 90-day evaluation. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Willingness to travel overnight throughout Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky.
Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and TBI fingerprinting for schools.
Ability to obtain a medical DOT card.
Ability to read a tape measure or ruler competently and make calculations for woodcuts.
Ability to learn basic carpentry skills.
Good work ethic and ability to produce high-quality work.
Ability to stand and bend for long periods.
Ability to organize effectively and work well both on a team and independently.
Willingness to work overtime and some weekends.
Ability to lift, bend, and carry heavy materials and team lift up to 200 pounds with four employees.

Responsibilities

Travel throughout the Southeast as needed to restore basketball courts in school districts; travel expenses are company-paid.
Report to the Rossville, Georgia warehouse at the start and end of each travel assignment.
Restore and replace basketball courts, including sanding, painting floor graphics, applying floor finish, and performing routine maintenance.
Work without constant or direct supervision.
Communicate with customers, explain work progress, and address complaints or concerns.
Lift, bend, and carry equipment and materials, including bundles of wood and pails of finish; team lift up to 200 pounds with four employees.
Learn to operate construction equipment and tools and perform minor job-site maintenance on them.
Follow procedures for producing quality work safely and maintaining job-site cleanliness, as specified in the employee manual or by management.
Read a tape measure and calculate woodcuts and other measurements.
Represent Praters, Inc. professionally and follow company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
