About The Position

The Pool Operations Manager oversees the quality and success of pool operations, including management of Deck Supervisors, Swim Instructors, and other on-deck staff; maintenance of the pool environment; and interaction with students and parents or guardians. The role requires expert-level knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and thorough knowledge of its management policies and practices. Advancement opportunities are available as the school grows.

Requirements

Two or more years of experience as a swim instructor.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to obtain and maintain current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
Conduct periodic evaluations of Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers and hold them to a higher standard.
Work with pool equipment and the Pump Room.
Discuss student progress with parents and guardians.
Substitute for a Deck Supervisor, Instructor, or Deck Teacher when necessary.
Provide weekly reports to management.
Conduct all aquatic-based new-hire training.
Assist Management and Deck Supervisor staff with workshops and in-service training.
Build a relationship with each new employee.
Ensure deck shifts run properly, including door calls, pre-shift meetings, and Deck Teacher rotations.
Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
