About The Position

The Pool Operations Manager oversees the quality and success of pool operations, including managing Deck Supervisors, Swim Instructors, and other on-deck staff; maintaining the pool environment; and interacting with students and parents or guardians. The manager maintains expert-level knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and thorough knowledge of its management policies and practices. The role also includes leadership, staff evaluations and training, and ensuring smooth deck operations. Advancement opportunities are available as the school grows.

Requirements

Two or more years of experience as a swim instructor.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to obtain and maintain current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
Conduct periodic evaluations of Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers, and hold them to a higher standard.
Work proficiently in the Pump Room and with pool equipment.
Discuss student progress with parents and guardians.
Act as a substitute Deck Supervisor, Instructor, or Deck Teacher when necessary.
Provide weekly reports to management.
Conduct aquatic-based new-hire training.
Assist management and Deck Supervisor staff in conducting workshops and in-service training.
Establish relationships with new employees.
Ensure deck shifts run smoothly, including door calls, pre-shift meetings, and Deck Teacher rotations.
Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
