About The Position

The Pool Attendant maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in pool, fitness, locker room, and surrounding recreational areas. The role supports an exceptional guest experience through guest service, cleanliness monitoring, supply replenishment, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The position is in the Housekeeping department and reports to the Assistant Director of Services. A pre-employment background check is required, and the employee must have proper work authorization on the first day of work. The position may involve other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience is required.
Ability to provide exceptional guest service in a professional and friendly manner.
Dependable and punctual.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, associates, and management.
Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation procedures.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business demands require.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
Must complete a pre-employment background check and have proper work authorization on the first day of work.

Nice To Haves

Previous hotel, hospitality, housekeeping, or recreational facility experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of indoor and outdoor pool areas.
Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, showers, and changing areas throughout the shift.
Keep the fitness center clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
Monitor and replenish clean towels and guest amenities in recreational areas.
Remove trash and debris from pool decks, fitness areas, and locker rooms.
Immediately report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or repair needs to management.
Keep pool furniture clean, properly arranged, and in good condition.
Assist guests with questions about pool and fitness center facilities and services.
Follow hotel safety procedures and department operating standards.
Comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
