About The Position

Conrad 4 Congress is seeking motivated and professional Political Canvassers to support grassroots field efforts across Shreveport, Louisiana. The role involves face-to-face voter engagement to inform, persuade, and mobilize support for candidates and initiatives. Canvassers deliver campaign messages and build support for candidates and issues in the community. This is a temporary, non-exempt position paying $20 per hour, with four-hour shifts and seasonal or short-term assignments. The stated work period is ASAP through 11/03/2026.

Requirements

• Must be a registered voter in the state of residence.
• Able to work a minimum of three shifts per week when a program is active.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort engaging strangers.
• Reliable and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing and able to canvass outdoors for extended periods in varying weather.
• Strong belief in progressive values and civic participation.
• Capable of meeting deadlines and performance targets.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in canvassing, sales, customer service, or community organizing; not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing.
• Deliver persuasive and accurate messaging about candidates.
• Record daily data and submit reports to program leadership.
• Consistently meet or exceed outreach and engagement goals.
• Represent North Shore Strategies with professionalism and integrity.
• Attend trainings and team meetings to stay aligned on strategy and talking points.
• Build positive relationships with voters to strengthen community trust.
