About The Position

All on the Field is hiring a paid Canvasser to engage communities and promote civic initiatives through direct voter outreach, community education, and grassroots campaigning. Canvassers represent the organization, encourage voter participation, and support campaign efforts through conversations with residents and accurate tracking of voter contacts. The position runs through November 2026 and may be part-time or full-time. Shifts are mostly afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• Friendly, clear verbal communication skills for speaking with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Physical stamina to walk and stand outdoors for hours in various weather conditions.
• Comfort using smartphones and field-tracking apps such as MiniVAN.
• Self-motivated work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to read a script.
• Ability to walk for at least four hours per shift while canvassing door to door.
• Reliable transportation to and from the staging location.
• A working phone.
• Willingness to work in all types of weather and perform light physical activities, including prolonged standing or walking; may infrequently lift or move up to 20 pounds.
• Compliance with the applicable dress code.

Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing to educate residents about political candidates, initiatives, or ballot measures.
• Engage community members in friendly, informative conversations to build awareness and support.
• Clearly explain campaign messages and answer questions.
• Enter voter contact data into MiniVAN and maintain detailed records of interactions, voter responses, and campaign activities for reporting.
• Deliver campaign messages and collect complete survey answers from voters.
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills.
• Follow campaign safety protocols.
• Support Get Out The Vote efforts by providing supporters with voting locations, deadlines, and reminders.
• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner.
