About The Position

Groundswell Contact, working with Forward Montana, is hiring local canvassers for a tribal voter contact program on the Blackfeet and CSKT/Flathead Reservations in Montana’s 1st Congressional District. The program combines nonpartisan civic engagement and electoral voter-contact work, including door knocking and engagement at community sites to help residents learn how, when, and where to vote and make a voting plan. The program will build toward a Get Out The Vote push as satellite voting locations open. Canvassers are hourly W-2, at-will employees directly employed and managed by Groundswell Contact, LLC. They work on a team led by on-site field leadership. The role involves assigned shifts averaging 5–8 hours, with work outdoors in varied weather, including rain or snow. Local hires are required, with priority for applicants from the Blackfeet and Flathead/CSKT communities and nearby areas. Strong canvassers may be considered for advancement to Team Lead, with pay up to $28 per hour, as the program develops.
