About The Position

This course examines the contested politics of citizenship through recent debates within the field of critical citizenship, border and migration studies. These include debates around who is or can be a citizen, what it means to be a citizen, and the boundaries of citizenship.

Requirements

  • PhD in Political Science or Global Governance.
  • Internal member of the CTF bargaining unit.
  • CV.
  • Candidate application form (CAF).

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course PO474: Contested Politics of Citizenship during the Winter 2027 term.
  • Deliver instruction in a lecture (seminar) format.
  • Manage an anticipated class size of 20 students.
  • Potentially perform marking and grading, and coordination of large classes or multi-section courses as per collective agreement articles 28.2 and 28.3.
