Plumbing Service Technician
About The Position
Russo Bros & Co in East Hanover, New Jersey, is hiring experienced plumbing technicians with residential service experience to provide efficient, high-quality customer service across Morris, Essex, Union, Bergen, Passaic, and Somerset counties. The company emphasizes reliable same-day service and strong customer relationships. This full-time position pays $40–$55 per hour plus incentives. Technicians perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and/or commercial settings; diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems; and serve customers professionally. Weekend shifts are available for technicians who want them, and multiple shift options are offered.
Requirements
- Previous plumbing experience; journeyman or equivalent experience is preferred, with 3–5 years of experience indicated.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Journeyman or equivalent plumbing experience.
- Trade school education or certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance services in residential and/or commercial settings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues accurately and efficiently.
- Install and repair piping systems, fixtures, water heaters, and related components.
- Operate and maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
- Comply with safety protocols, local codes, and company procedures.
- Document work performed and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
