About The Position

As a Plumbing Install Apprentice, you will support licensed plumbers and installers with water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and related components. You will prepare work areas, tools, equipment, and materials; carry out basic plumbing tasks under supervision; and learn the trade while building skills for a plumbing career. The role is field-based, with daily travel to residential and commercial job sites and travel of up to 25%. Work takes place indoors and outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces or adverse conditions. Overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required depending on project schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with plumbing tools and materials.
• Willingness to learn plumbing systems, codes, and installation best practices.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Enrollment in or interest in a plumbing apprenticeship or trade school program.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers with installing water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and related components.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily projects and maintain clean, organized job sites.
• Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipes under supervision.
• Learn to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and project instructions.
• Maintain accurate job notes, time logs, and material usage records.
• Ensure work complies with plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, supervisors, and teammates.
