About The Position
Roto-Rooter is hiring a plumbing apprentice/service technician to diagnose plumbing and drain issues, provide customers with solutions and cost estimates, complete repairs, document estimates and invoices, and collect payment. The role includes 12 weeks of paid initial training, ongoing instruction through Roto-Rooter’s plumbing school, and guidance through the plumber licensing process. First-year service technicians can expect to earn an average of $55,000, with pay increasing quickly with experience.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Effective communication skills.

- Prior experience is not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing and drain issues and offer cost estimates to customers.
- Make the necessary repairs for customers.
- Document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided smartphone.
- Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.
- Provide effective solutions for plumbing and drain issues while ensuring customer satisfaction.
