About The Position

The PLKW General Helper 3 supports bakery production by loading ovens, filling bakery racks with bread and bun pans, and moving racks and pan carts through the production process. The role involves loading and unloading empty pans on the conveyor and performing other duties as assigned. Work takes place in a fast-paced, hot and humid environment and requires physical activity, including extended periods of standing or walking, lifting and carrying pans, and pushing carts.

Requirements

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Capable of working in a high-heat environment.
• Willingness to learn food safety and sanitation.
• Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of following safe work practices.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must complete a post-offer background check, physical, drug/alcohol screen, and lifting assessment.
• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry bread and bun pans weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to push bread and bun pan carts to the conveyor.
• Capable of performing repetitive work.
• Must be able to tolerate working in a hot, humid environment.

Responsibilities

• Load the oven.
• Fill bakery racks with bread and bun pans.
• Move bread and bun racks in and out of the proof box.
• Push and pull pan carts to the bread and bun conveyor.
• Load and unload empty pans on and off the conveyor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
