General Helper
About The Position
As a General Helper, you will support production and assembly teams by performing basic material handling, preparatory tasks, and general shop duties. You will assist operators, keep work areas organized, perform simple inspections, and help ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety and quality practices across the shop floor. Krieger Specialty Products is a leading manufacturer of special-purpose doors and window applications. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Production Superintendent. The first shift is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role is based in a warehouse/production environment with usually loud noise levels and required personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Good teamwork, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, twisting, standing, sitting, and using hands to manipulate equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.
