About The Position

Awetomaton is seeking exceptional students for our Summer 2027 Internship Program, a full-time, three-month program based at our headquarters in Beavercreek, Ohio. As a Platform Engineering Intern, you'll be mentored directly by senior engineers while developing solutions that support near-term national security needs. You'll join a cohort of 4–6 interns, with work that has visibility across Awetomaton and our government customers. In this role, you’ll explore the entire product engineering lifecycle, from defining requirements through technical implementation. Your summer project will focus on building automation, enhancing cluster reliability, and/or improving the experience of teams deploying workloads in multi‑tenant Kubernetes environments. This opportunity blends hands‑on engineering with structured operational learning: you’ll help maintain core platform components, contribute to tooling, and potentially assist with day‑to‑day cluster operations such as monitoring, troubleshooting, and environment hygiene. Expect exposure to container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, GitOps workflows, observability stacks, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals. This is a full-time, paid position for students who will have completed their junior year of undergraduate study by Summer 2027. The anticipated start date is May 2027. Internship benefits are limited to participation in Awetomaton's 401(k) plan. U.S. citizenship is required, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Applications will be considered through October 31, 2026.
