Platform Engineer
About The Position
At Centiro, our platform is at the core of how global supply chains move. As we continue to scale across North America, we’re looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to help build, operate, and evolve our hosting platforms with clarity, stability, and long‑term thinking. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll influence how our platforms are designed, operated, and improved — while working in an environment built on trust, autonomy, and collaboration. As a Platform Engineer at Centiro, you’ll be part of our DevOps organization, responsible for designing, operating, and improving our cloud and hybrid platforms. You will work across Azure and Google Cloud, ensuring infrastructure is secure, scalable, automated, and cost‑efficient. This role balances platform engineering and operational responsibility. You’ll contribute to architecture and automation while also taking part in monitoring, incident handling, and continuous optimization. From Vancouver, you’ll support our North American operations while working closely with global platform, development, and delivery teams across time zones. You’ll be trusted to take ownership, make sound technical decisions, and influence how we build reliable platform capabilities at scale.
Requirements
- Several years of experience working with modern enterprise or cloud infrastructure
- Strong experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud
- Experience designing and operating high-availability platforms
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, networking, and monitoring
- Experience with incident handling and operational troubleshooting
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to explain technical topics in a pragmatic way
- Ability to build trust through consistent delivery
- Comfort working across teams and time zones
- Ability to operate independently and own decisions
- Value structure, simplicity, and continuous improvement
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
- CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Development experience or strong understanding of developer workflows
- Hybrid infrastructure experience (on-prem + cloud)
